These galleries contain images of Bodie and Aurora, old mining towns near the California-Nevada border, and of stage stations and forts that supported and supplied the miners. A special interest is the old railways that hauled wood and supplies to the mines, and ore and bullion from the mines; there is a galleryof restored steam locomotives and cars, mostly of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad from the same era, with images of the old V&T right-of-way, now abandoned.
These galleries contain images of three spectacular national parks in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona--Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon from the North Rim. There are also vivid images of a river run of the upper Colorado from Page, Arizona to Lee's Ferry.
Some images do not fit nicely into a collection, so these galleries are not the Wild West, nor are they National Parks. But the images are nevertheless very striking, and depending on your interest you may actually find some that you would like to hang on your walls.
This section gives you a way to link to a page that has some of the newer material on which I've been working, when I get it put together in gallery form. Some of this is new material from Northern Nevada, like the Reno Balloon Races, or the wonderful masonry at Stewart Indian School. But some is from other historical sites like Jack London's Wolf House, and I will be adding imges of Yosemite in the fall. Click on either picture to go to the Recent Images link page.
