About the Artist

Bob has been photographing for over 40 years. In college he edited the yearbook and was one of the principal photographers for the yearbook, newspaper, and other campus publications.

In graduate school at the University of Southern California he was the sports editor of the yearbook, and one of the two principal photographers (with Peter Read Miller, long-time Sports Illustrated staffer) for the Sports Information Office and the Pac-10 football programs during the era of John McKay’s and John Robinson’s champion college football teams. His work in sports photography has appeared in the New York Times, Playboy Magazine, the Pacific-10 football programs, and in newspapers around the country.

After a thirty year hiatus for a career in aerospace, Bob returned to photography in the era of digital cameras. He and his wife Kat live in the mountains of Northern Nevada, where he pursues his interest in historical, nature, and wildlife themes working at the Northern Nevada Rail Museum, the California gold mining ghost towns of Bodie and Aurora, National Parks in the Southwest, and the California Coast. He exhibits occasionally at shows in both Reno and Carson City.
